Common Grass Yellow Butterflies

Over the last few days the yellow butterflies have come out to play! We are surrounded by flashes of yellow I love the way they gather together under awnings and flit, fly and flutterby. They have been wherever I went on the weekend, even 100kms away. My grandfather was an avid fisherman – I think he went fishing nearly everyday in his retirement – or if he didn’t he was planning the next trip. He told us that his indigenous friends had told him whenever the yellow butterflies were out the bream would be biting.

  1. Hello there,
I found your blog on the Nature Blog Network and noticed that you are a fellow Australian. I love your website and your blog – beautiful artwork and lino prints. Would you be interested in exchanging links?
    Kind Regards
